Apple's new iPad 5 is rumored to be launched in March 2013.Rumors is getting
popular these days about iPad 5 and iPad
Mini 2. These rumors are coming from in China and hence many
people believe these rumors. According to these rumors, iPad 5 will be lighter
and will be thinner. It will be having design similar to that of iPad Mini i.e.
slightly narrow.
iPad Mini 2 tablet will have
same 7.9 inches screen size but will have Retina Display with resolution of
2048 x 1536 pixels. It will also have A6X SoC which is presently found only on
iPad 4.
The 5th Generation iPad is expected to be released in March 2013.
It will have 4 mm shorter and will be 16 mm narrower and will have 2 mm less
thickness compared to previous iPad i.e. fourth generation device. Narrower
portrait bezel is another special attraction on this tablet. This tablet will
have reduced size and hence it will have reduced weight and improvement on its
battery life, unless there are some constraints. Apple might come up with A7
SoC in March 2013 running on 28 nm process but the chances for this company to release new processor are
low.
iPad Mini 2 is also expected to be released rumored to be launched in March 2013 and it will have good set
of features. This tablet is expected to have display resolution of 2048 x 1536
pixels. That means, it will have display resolution of 326 ppi. It supports A6X
SoC. This shows that Apple is planning to release iPad Mini 2 with same specs
as that of iPad 4, but with half the weight and hence half the price. Many
prospective customers felt that iPad Mini
tablet was not so great to divert the attention from Amazon’s
Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7 tablet,
but this newer version of mini tablet i.e. iPad Mini 2 is having such features.
If these rumors about specs and features of iPad and iPad Mini 2 tablets turn out true, then we can
say that Apple is targeting gradual evolution rather than taking huge
technological leaps. This can be one way to milk more profits.
